All of our wood perches, play gyms and toys are made out of natural Dragonwood from Florida. We take great pride in the hand making of each one.
Dragonwood is a drought resistant bush mostly harvested for its efficiency and durability. Pests and diseases are rarely seen on this plant. Its intricate twisted trunks and branches are used for creating perches, toys, and play gyms for pet birds.
Even though these trees are normally cut down, we only partner with providers who harvest trunk and branches in a way that allows the trees to re-grow and flourish. In doing so we can help preserve the existing ecosystem and keep the natural habitat undisturbed.
Note: Tambo gyms ship direct from the manufacturer. Please place a separate order for these gyms and allow additional time for shipping, usually 7-10 days. Shipping charges for these gyms are estimated. If charges exceed what was quoted in the shopping cart, we will notify you via email.
