How do I purchase items and have them sent to the Organization of my Choice?
Simply shop as you normally would. Enter the Name/Address of the Organization you want your order shipped to into the Shipping Information field. Select RESCUE as the Shipping Method. You will not be charged for Shipping and we will ship your entire order to the Organization you have specified.
Do You (Avian Antics) Donate Personally to the Rescue Organizations?
Yes. Each month we personally donate approximately $100.00 worth of Toys and/or Supplies to the Rescue we are currently featuring. This is in addition to your Donations, which we match and we also donate the proceeds for the month to the featured organization.
I want to purchase and donate a toy for Rescue, but don't need to purchase anything for myself. How do I do this?
Select "RESCUE" as the shipping Method. You will NOT be charged for Shipping and this designates your entire order is to be shipped to the Rescue/Sactuary facility.
What types of Avian Welfare Organizations do you Support?
We support any non-profit organization that operates solely for the Welfare of Exotic Birds. This includes Rescue and Rehabilitation Organizations, Sanctuaries and other Organizations that provide services to assist with the Welfare of Exotic Birds.
Can I just donate money to the Rescue Organization?
Absolutely! Although we do not process financial donations through our website. Simply visit the Organization's website and there you will find the information necessary to make monetary donations to that particular Organization.
Do you Match my donation with the exact same Item that I Donated?
Much of the time we will match your donation exactly. However, we have a list of birds currently being housed at the facility we are donating to that Month. We do our best to make sure every "birdie" gets at least one toy. Thus, if we have had lots of donations of Large Macaw/Cockatoo size toys and all of the Large birds at the facility have a toy, but some of the smaller birds don't yet have toys. We will swap a toy for one of the same or even two or three toys, if necessary to make sure the value of the toy(s) donated equals the value of the toy you donated. Most of the toys that we donate or match your donation with are made by us (Avian Antics Toys). Thus while you may donate a Toy made by Planet Pleasures, we will match it with a Toy made by Avian Antics. We need to stay in business so that we can continue to help birds in Rescue's/Sanctuaries. Avian Antics toys are less expensive, thus allowing us to donate more to the Featured Organization.
Does *every* bird at a Rescue, get a new toy?
We try to make sure each bird receives a new toy. However, this is not always possible. Some of these facilities are housing hundreds of birds, and in a Month's time we simply cannot make enough toys, nor do we get enough donations. In addition to Toys, we *may* also donate food or supplies and we will always donate a portion of the proceeds for that month.
